Building Safety Regulator Service Suite
Compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022
The new Building Safety Act 2022 aims to reform building safety legislation. It came into force on 1st April 2023 and introduced new duties for the management of fire and building safety in high-rise residential buildings.
From 1st April 2024, every in-scope building that you are responsible for will need to have a Building Safety Case in place as well as a Safety Case Report. At any time after this date, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) can ask for a copy of this report with just 28 days’ notice. It is a criminal offense to be unable to provide a Safety Case Report when asked.
It is the Accountable Person’s responsibility to plan, manage and monitor the various tasks necessary to ensure that they are complying with the requirements of the Act; and they must have in place appropriate arrangements to ensure they meet these.
Providing regulators and other stakeholders with regular updates and reports on the building’s safety measures and compliance status is crucial to maintaining the confidence and peace of mind of everyone involved. You will need to report on actions you have taken as a company and have the evidence to back this up.
Read on to find out how Vemco Consulting’s BSR Services Suite can support you with your duties under the Building Safety Act 2022.

- Competency Assessments and Approved Database of Contractors
- Maintenance and Testing Monitoring

- Storage and Management of Golden Thread Information

The Building Safety Act mandates a digital record for higher-risk buildings that includes the Golden Thread of information, accessible to relevant parties and updated over the building’s lifecycle. This will require adopting a system that enables you to store a digital information trail of everything that takes place on your building/projects.
Our suite of Management Monitoring Services is available via a web-based portal providing secure digital storage of information along with the following:
- Your own personal login so you can manage your data and view risk assessment scores for your building
- The Building Safety Regulator (and members of your team) with access to your Building Safety Case online so they can swiftly and easily view your live information
- A repository for all your building safety documentation (you/your contractor will be able to upload documents like Fire Strategies, drawings, photos etc)
- Dynamic risk scoring for the building
- An alert system for the regular monitoring of alarm tests, sprinklers and other systems
- And much more
Building Safety Cases
Registering your buildings and submitting the necessary key information is a crucial step towards compliance. Our dedicated team will develop a comprehensive Building Safety Case that includes a mandatory occurrence reporting system, a resident engagement strategy and a safety management system. We can then submit this Key Building Safety Information on your behalf, removing this substantial task from your workload. We will also liaise with the Building Safety Regulator as necessary, taking care of all communications on your behalf. Upon successful completion, we will deliver a Building Occupation Certificate, validating your commitment to building safety.
